We are bringing together a group of visionaries to take this idea from vision to reality: leading executives, entrepreneurs, policy experts, philanthropists, thought leaders and some of the most respected educators working in the field today.
Project partners will generate a forecast total of $25 million to create a network of five of the finest schools on the continent, each strategically deployed to serving as a model and exemplar that moves an entire nation toward further educational investment.
In 2010, we will announce partners for Round 1 funding for the inaugural school in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. In the next half decade, schools will open in Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi and Zanzibar. Together they will form a network that will raise the bar across the continent and inspire the next generation of leadership for Africa.
